Air conditioner maintenance recommendations

~1min read

Note! The air conditioner switches on automatically only at outside air temperatures above approximately +5°C. At lower temperatures its use is simply not advisable.

The air conditioner reduces not only the temperature but also the humidity in the passenger compartment, and prevents the windows from fogging up. If the temperature drops too much and the air becomes cool, adjust the temperature balance by turning control B to the right.

When the air conditioner is operating, all windows and the ventilation vent must be closed.

If the interior of a stationary vehicle has heated up considerably under high outside temperature, open all doors and windows for some time before driving so that hot air can escape.

Attention! Condensed water is drained from the air conditioner to the outside. Therefore, a puddle may form under the vehicle when parked. This is normal and not a sign of poor body sealing.

The air conditioner must be checked regularly and cleaned of accumulated dirt. Rinsing with water is best.

Under extreme engine loads, when the coolant overheats significantly, the air conditioner may switch off automatically for a period of time.

Installing the air conditioner, which weighs about 40 kg, increases the curb weight of the vehicle accordingly. See section "Technical Specifications". If the air conditioner does not work, the cause may be one of two things:

- outside air temperature is below +5°C - fuse has blown

Check, replace if necessary.

In case of other damage, for example after an accident, or if it has lost its seal, switch off immediately and do not switch on again. Requires special service.
