May be used for storing and carrying clothing accessories and small items. Most importantly, they must not block the view; otherwise additional outside rear-view mirrors will be required.

Do not place heavy or hard objects on the shelf, as they could injure passengers during sudden braking. Such objects can also easily damage the rear window heating element wires.
