ENGINE HOOD

ENGINE HOOD
To open the hood, pull the hood release handle located on the left under the instrument panel. The hood unlocks and is partially raised by the spring.

Standing in front of the vehicle, lift the hood slightly, release the safety catch in the direction of the arrow and open the hood.
Take out the metal support rod, as shown in the illustration on the following page, insert it into the special slot on the underside of the hood and secure it.
On vehicles with a spring-assisted hood, the hood is held by the spring. To close the hood, lift it up slightly, remove the support rod from the slot and return it to its place. Then lower the hood from a distance of approximately 30 cm and let it drop; the hood will close under its own weight.

Pressing down on the hood additionally is not recommended.
On versions with a spring-assisted hood, overcome the spring force, lower the hood and close it.
The hood must be closed while driving. Therefore, when closing it, always check that it is securely latched.
If you notice the hood has opened while driving, stop the vehicle and close it.
