Defective wheel bearings are indicated by the following: noises when cornering; wheel binding with the brake released. The wheel bearings are pressed so tightly into the stub axle that they can only be installed correctly with suitable pressing tools. This work should be carried out by a Fiat workshop. To replace the wheel bearing, the complete stub axle and wheel hub must first be removed.
