Heating system
The main components of the cabin heating system are the electric blower fan and the heater core, located in the heater housing. The heater core is connected to the engine cooling system by rubber hoses. The heater/air conditioning control unit is mounted in the instrument panel. Coolant heated in the engine circulates through the heater core, transferring its heat to the air filling the housing. When cabin heating is switched on, the flap door opens, connecting the internal volume of the heater housing with the cabin. When the blower fan is switched on, its impeller forces air supplied to the cabin through the heater core, providing rapid heating.
