PROCEDURE

1. Check the transaxle shift cable for proper operation and damage.
2. Check the bushing for wear or damage.
3. Check the spring for damage and loss of tension.
4. Check the continuity of the overdrive switch. When overdrive is activated, terminals 1 and 2 of the switch must be closed; when deactivated, terminals 1 and 3 must be closed.
