DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

For models with the [1.8/2.0L I4] engine, the vehicle speed sensor is a wheel speed sensor installed near the wheel disc. The sensor converts vehicle speed (wheel rotation speed) into signals (voltage pulses), which are sent to the engine control module (ECM).

DTC SET CONDITIONS

The ECM will store this DTC and illuminate the MIL if no vehicle speed sensor signal is received for 20 seconds during two consecutive driving cycles, when the following conditions are met:
