DTC P0733: Calculated gear ratio of 3rd gear does not match the nominal value Possible Cause
If the output shaft speed sensor [PG-B] signal value, multiplied by the 3rd gear ratio, does not match the input shaft speed sensor [PG-A] signal value after 3rd gear is engaged, DTC P0733 is stored in the TCM memory.

If this DTC occurs 4 times in succession, the transmission enters fail-safe mode (shift control is inhibited) and is fixed in 3rd gear.

 Malfunction of the transaxle input shaft speed sensor. Malfunction of the transaxle output shaft speed sensor. Malfunction of the underdrive clutch drum. Malfunction of the drive or driven gear of the idler gear. Malfunction of the underdrive clutch. Malfunction of the overdrive clutch. Abnormal noise occurs.
