Automatic transmission hydraulic control pressure test
1. Warm up the transaxle to normal operating temperature (ATF).
2. Raise the vehicle on a lift so that the front wheels are off the ground.
3. Install a diagnostic tachometer to measure engine crankshaft speed so that its reading can be easily read.

4. Connect the adapter (09452-21002) and the pressure gauge (09452-21500) to the corresponding pressure test ports.
When checking the reverse pressure, use a 3000 kPa pressure gauge.

5. Measure the ATF pressure in each line under various conditions. Check that the measured values are within the specified ranges given in the table "Transaxle Hydraulic Control System Specified Pressures" below. If the measured pressure is outside the specified range, perform the inspection and repair the fault in accordance with the table "Preliminary Troubleshooting for Incorrect Pressure" on the next page.

TRANSAXLE HYDRAULIC CONTROL SYSTEM SPECIFIED PRESSURES
SW-ON: Set the overdrive switch to the "ON" position.
SW-OFF: Set the overdrive switch to the "OFF" position.
: Hydraulic pressure is built up in the transaxle control system, but there is no steady specified value.
