Power windows
The power windows operate only when the ignition key is in the ON position. Each door has a window switch. The driver's door has a lock switch that prevents the passenger windows from being operated.
The power windows can be operated for about 30 seconds after the ignition key is removed or turned to ACC or LOCK. However, if any door is opened, the power windows cannot be operated, even within the 30-second period.
NOTICE
When driving with the rear windows lowered or the sunroof (if equipped) open (or partially open), a buffeting or pulsating noise may be heard. This noise is normal and can be reduced or eliminated by taking the following measures. If the noise occurs with one or both rear windows lowered, lower both front windows about 1 inch. If the noise occurs while the sunroof is open, close it slightly.

Raising and Lowering the Windows
Type A
A master window switch is located on the driver's door. It controls all windows in the vehicle.
To raise or lower a window, push down or pull up the front part of the switch for that window (5).

Type B - Auto-down window (if equipped)
Momentarily pushing the power window switch past the second detent (6) fully lowers the driver's window, even if you release the switch. To stop the window at any point during its travel, briefly operate the switch in the direction opposite to the window's movement.

Type C - Auto up/down window
The window fully lowers or raises when you briefly push or pull the power window switch past the second detent (6), even if you release the switch. To stop the window at the desired position while it is moving, pull up or push down on the switch in the direction opposite to the window's movement.
If the power windows do not operate properly, reset the power window system as follows:
- Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
- Raise the driver's window and keep pulling the power window switch for at least 1 second after the window is fully closed.

Auto reverse
If the window's upward movement is blocked by an object or part of the body, the window detects the resistance and stops moving up. The window then lowers approximately 30 cm (11.8 in.) to allow the object to be removed.
If the window detects resistance while the switch is held continuously up, it stops moving up and then lowers approximately 2.5 cm (1 in.). If the power window switch is pulled up continuously again within five (5) seconds after the window lowers by the auto reverse function, the auto reverse function will not operate.
NOTICE
The driver's window auto stop function is only active when the auto up function is used by pulling the switch fully up. The auto stop function does not operate if the window is raised using the half-way position of the power window switch.
WARNINGAlways check for obstructions before raising any window to prevent injury and vehicle damage. If an object less than 4 mm (0.16 in.) in diameter is caught between the window and the upper frame, the auto stop window may not detect the resistance and may not stop and reverse direction.

Window Lock Switch (if equipped)
- The driver can disable the passengers' power window switches by pressing in the window lock switch on the driver's door.
- If the power window lock switch is in the LOCK (pressed in) position, the driver's master switch cannot operate the passengers' power windows.
- To avoid damaging the power window system, do not open or close two or more windows at the same time. This helps prolong the life of the fuse.
- NEVER try to operate the master switch on the driver's door and a individual window switch at the same time in opposite directions. In this case, the window will stop and will be unable to move up or down.
- NEVER leave the key in the ignition switch.
- NEVER leave children unattended in the vehicle. Even very young children may accidentally move the vehicle, get caught in a window, or injure themselves or others.
- Make sure passengers' arms, hands, and heads, as well as any other obstructions, are clear of the window when you raise the windows.
- Do not let children play with the power window switches.
Keep the window lock switch engaged (pressed in).
Accidental operation of a window by a child can cause serious injury.
