Système de mémoire de position du conducteur

The driver's seat position memory stores and recalls the seat position at the press of a button. By storing the desired position, several drivers can adjust the seat to their personal preferences. If the battery is disconnected, the position memory is lost and the driving positions must be set again in the system.

WARNING

Never attempt to use the driver's position memory system while the vehicle is moving.

This could cause loss of steering control, resulting in property damage, serious injury or death.

Storing Positions Using the Door Buttons

Storing the Driver's Seat Positions

  1. While the ignition switch is in the "ON" position, move the transmission gear shift lever to P (Park).
  2. Adjust the seat to a comfortable position for the driver.
  3. Press the "SET" button on the instrument panel. The system will beep.
  4. Press one of the memory buttons (1 or 2) within 5 seconds after pressing the "SET" button. The system beeps twice when the position has been stored successfully.

Memory position recall

  1. With the ignition switch in the "ON" position, move the transmission shift lever to the Park ("P") position.
  2. To recall a stored position, press the corresponding memory button (1 or 2). The system beeps once and the driver's seat will automatically move to the stored position.

If you touch the driver's seat switch while the memory recall is in progress, the seat will stop and then move in the direction of the switch.

WARNING

Use caution when recalling a memory position while seated in the vehicle. Immediately press the seat position control button to the desired position if the seat moves too far in either direction.

Easy access function (if equipped)

With the shift lever in P, the system will automatically move the driver's seat as follows.

  • Without SmartKey system
  • The seat will move backward when the ignition key is removed.
  • The seat will move forward when the ignition key is inserted.
  • With SmartKey system
  • The seat will move backward when the Start/Stop button is set to OFF or the SmartKey is removed from the SmartKey ignition lock.
  • The seat will move forward when the Start/Stop button is turned to ACC or START or the SmartKey is inserted into the SmartKey ignition lock.
