Low-profile tire (if equipped)

~1min read

Low-profile tires, i.e. tires with an aspect ratio of less than 50, give the vehicle a sporty appearance.

Since they are designed to optimize handling and braking, low-profile tires result in reduced ride comfort and higher road noise compared with standard tires.

WARNING Since the sidewall of a low-profile tire is shorter than normal, this type of tire and wheel is more susceptible to damage. Therefore, follow the instructions below.

  • When driving on a rough road or unpaved terrain, use extreme caution to avoid damaging the wheels.
In addition, inspect tires and wheels after every drive.
  • When driving over a pothole, speed bump, manhole, or curb, reduce speed to avoid damaging the tires and wheels.
  • If a tire is subjected to an impact, it is recommended that you check its condition or contact an authorized Kia dealer.
  • To maintain tire integrity, check the condition and pressure every 3,000 km.
  • WARNING

    • A damaged tire is not easy to recognize visually. Therefore, if there is the slightest sign of tire damage, even if not visible, have the tire checked and replaced because it may be losing air.
    • If tire damage was caused by a rough road, unpaved terrain, a pothole, a manhole, or a curb, it is not covered by the warranty.
    • The tire data is shown on the sidewall of the tire.
