The heating and cooling system can be controlled manually, as well as by pressing buttons other than the AUTO button. In this case, the system operates in the order in which the buttons were selected.

When any button (or knob) other than the AUTO button is pressed during automatic operation, the functions that have not been selected will continue to be controlled automatically.

  1. Start the engine.
  2. Set the mode to the desired position.
To improve heating and cooling efficiency:
  • Heating:

  • Cooling:
  1. Set the temperature control to the desired value.
  2. Set the fresh air intake control to the outside air intake position (fresh).
  3. Set the blower speed control to the desired speed.
  4. If air conditioning is required, turn on the air conditioning system.

To switch to fully automatic control of the system, press the AUTO button.

The mode selection button controls the air outlet directions of the ventilation system.

The air vents are selected as follows:

Floor/defrost level
(A, C, D, E)

Most of the airflow is directed to the floor and the windshield, with a small amount directed to defrost the side windows.

Face level
(B, D)

Air is directed to the upper body and face. In addition, the direction of the airflow can be adjusted at each vent.

Bi-level (B, D, C, E)


Air is directed to the face and floor.

Floor level (C, A, D,
E)

Most of the airflow is directed to the floor, with a small amount directed to defrost the windshield and side windows.

Defrost mode

When you select MAX defrost mode, the following settings are automatically applied to the system:

  • The air conditioning system is switched on.

- The outside (fresh) air position is selected.

  • - The blower speed will be set to high.

    To cancel defrost mode, press the mode button or the defrost button again.

    Dashboard vents

    The vent can be opened and closed using the horizontal vent adjustment knob. To close the vent, turn the knob fully downward. To open the vent, turn it upward to the desired position.

    The airflow direction from these vents can also be adjusted using the vent control lever as shown.

    Temperature control

    To raise the temperature to maximum (HI), turn the knob fully to the right.

    To lower the temperature to minimum (Lo), turn the knob fully to the left.

    As you turn the knob, the temperature will increase or decrease in steps of 0.5°C/1°F. When the lowest temperature is set, the air conditioning system will operate continuously.

    Temperature conversion

    You can switch the temperature display between Celsius and Fahrenheit as follows: While pressing the OFF button, press and hold the AUTO button for 4 seconds or longer.

    The display will change from Celsius to Fahrenheit or vice versa.

    After the battery has been discharged or disconnected, the temperature display will show Celsius again.

    Fresh air intake control

    It is used to select the outside fresh air intake position or the recirculation position inside the cabin.

    To change the fresh air intake control position, press the control button.

    Air recirculation position

    When the air recirculation position is selected, cabin air will flow through the heating/cooling system and be heated or cooled depending on the selected function.

    Outside (fresh) air intake position

    When the outside (fresh) air intake position is selected, outside air flows into the cabin and is heated or cooled depending on the selected function.

    NOTE Continuous use of cabin heating in air recirculation mode (without air conditioning) may cause the windshield and side windows to fog up, and the air in the cabin will become stale after a long time. In addition, prolonged use of the air conditioning system in air recirculation mode may cause excessive drying of the air in the passenger compartment.

    WARNING
    • Continuous operation of the climate control system in air recirculation position may increase humidity inside the vehicle, which will fog the glass and reduce visibility.
    • Do not sleep in the vehicle with the air conditioner or heater running. This may cause serious injury or death due to a drop in oxygen level and/or body temperature.
    • Continuous operation of the climate control system in the air recirculation position may cause drowsiness or sluggishness and loss of control of the vehicle.

      While driving, set the air intake control to the fresh outside air position (fresh) as much as possible.

    Blower Speed Control

    You can set the desired blower speed by turning the blower speed control knob.

    The higher the blower speed, the more air is supplied to the vehicle interior.

    Pressing the OFF button turns off the blower.

    Air conditioning (A/C)

    Klimatyzowanie

    To turn on the air conditioning system, press the A/C button (the indicator light will illuminate).

    To turn off the air conditioning system, press the button again.

    Off mode (OFF)

    To turn off the climate control system, press the OFF button.

    However, you can still operate the fresh air intake buttons as long as the ignition switch is in the ON position.
