BLIS - Symbols and messages

~1min read

In the event of failures or interruptions of the BLIS (Blind Spot Information) system in the Volvo S80 (2nd generation, 2013–2016), special symbols and messages appear in the instrument cluster. This section explains how these displays are to be interpreted and how the driver should respond. In addition, the type approval of the radar system, which is relevant for safe operation, is shown. Notes on confirming and hiding messages make handling easier in everyday use.

In situations where the BLIS (Blind Spot Information) function is unavailable or interrupted, a symbol may appear in the instrument cluster, supplemented by an explanatory message. The recommendation should be followed where applicable.
