Parking Assistant Plus: Surround View

Surround View in the BMW 5 G30 is part of the Parking Assistant Plus and provides an all-round image of the vehicle on the Control Display. Cameras at the front, rear and exterior mirrors deliver a 360° view of the vehicle surroundings, ideal when maneuvering or parking in tight spaces. The view adapts automatically to the driving situation, e.g. when cornering or at intersections. An ideal addition to the conventional reversing aids.

Principle

The system assists with parking and maneuvering. For this purpose, the area around the vehicle is shown on the Control Display.

The Surround View system in the BMW 5 Series G30/G31 provides an all-round view of the vehicle surroundings on the Control Display, making parking and maneuvering easier. Combining images from several cameras creates a realistic bird's-eye view that makes maneuvering safer, even in tight areas.

A particular advantage is the option to select different views and perspectives, either manually or automatically.
