  • Disconnect the negative (-) battery ground cable. Warning: observe the notes in the chapter "Battery removal and installation".

1,8-/2,0-L-motor

  • The control unit is located below the glove box.

    Unscrew the mounting bolts from the retaining bracket.

    Disconnect the connector from the control unit by folding up the clip.

Installation

  • When buying spare parts, it is advisable to take the removed control unit along for identification.

  • Connect the plug to the control unit. Fold back the locking clip.

  • Insert the control unit and secure it.

  • Connect the battery earth cable (-). Set the clock.

    Program the radio stations. Warning: driveability problems may occur initially; observe the notes in the chapter "Battery installation".
