Warning: after installing a new control unit, it automatically receives the immobilizer code. It is not permitted to connect another control unit on a trial basis, as it would then become unusable for other vehicles. Removal

  • Before removing the control unit, we recommend having the fault memory read out and printed by a Fiat workshop. This helps determine which fault is present; see also page 102.

  • Disconnect the negative (-) battery ground cable. Warning: observe the notes in the chapter "Battery removal and installation", see page 251.

    The control unit is located on the bulkhead at the level of the injection unit. Unscrew the control unit from the bracket - 2 -.
