The vehicle is equipped with a set of devices designed to protect the driver and passengers in the event of a traffic accident.

Some safety system components do not require any action on your part. These include: the rigid steel structure forming the passenger compartment safety cage; front and rear body crumple zones, which absorb impact energy when deformed; the deformable steering column; and seat belt pretensioners, which instantly tighten the belts in the event of an impact.

All safety system components reduce the severity of injuries sustained in traffic accidents when the driver or passenger is seated correctly and wearing the seat belt.

Improper use of some safety system components may even increase the risk of injury in traffic accidents.

The following pages explain how you can protect yourself and your passengers using the safety systems.
