Additional Safety Precautions

~1min read

Do not remove or disable the airbags. Together with the seat belts, the airbags provide the most effective protection in a collision.

Do not open the control units or modify the wiring of the airbag and seat belt pretensioner systems.

Such actions may cause the airbags and seat belt pretensioners to deploy unexpectedly and injure you or others.

Do not allow moisture to get on the front seatbacks. If a seatback is soaked with water or other liquid, the side airbags may not function properly.

Do not replace or cover the side airbag covers in the front seatbacks without consulting an authorized Honda dealer. Doing so may prevent the side airbags from inflating in a collision.
