Child Transport on the Rear Seat
In this manual: Driver and Passenger Safety
~1min read
Statistical data on road traffic accidents show that the safety of children of all ages and any height is best ensured when appropriate restraint systems are properly used in the rear seat.
It is strongly recommended that children under the age of 12 be transported in child restraint systems installed in the rear seat of the vehicle.
Transporting children in the rear seat reduces the risk of injury from striking hard interior elements of the vehicle in an accident or sudden braking. In addition, when children are transported in the rear seat, the possibility of injury from deployment of the frontal or side airbag is eliminated.
