Replace the pressure plate of the 1st and reverse gear brake with the special service tool, then install the brake disc (with lining), brake plate (without lining), and snap ring as shown in the illustration. Install the reaction plate and the original snap ring removed earlier. While moving the special service tool, measure the end play. If the end play is not within specification, adjust it by replacing the original snap ring with a new one of the correct thickness.

Specification: 0.0 - 0.16 mm (Refer to the "Snap Rings and Selective Spacers" reference table).
