DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

This solenoid valve:

• Controls the oil pressure acting on the shift control valve (SCV) based on ON/OFF signals from the A/T ECU during gear shift control

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS

Malfunction Detection Conditions Possible Cause Inspection Item
• Ignition switch is in the "ON" position or the engine is running

• A/T ECU detects an open or short circuit in the shift solenoid valve "A" circuit

 • Malfunction of shift solenoid valve "A"

• Malfunction (poor contact) in the connector

• Malfunction of the A/T ECU

 • Open or short circuit in the shift solenoid valve "A" circuit

• Shift solenoid valve "A"
<SYMPTOM DESCRIPTION>

• When DTC P0750 is set, the transmission enters fail-safe mode (gear shifting is locked) and is fixed in 3rd gear
