Install the original thrust bearing race #8 removed earlier, then install the transaxle rear cover. Measure the underdrive planetary sun gear end play. If the end play is not within specification, adjust it by selecting a new thrust bearing race #8 of the appropriate thickness from the table below.

Specification: 0.25 – 0.45 mm

To simplify measuring the underdrive planetary sun gear end play, install the underdrive clutch hub.
