Signal Waveform

The three waveforms below are taken from injectors No. 1 and No. 4. The upper curve is on the high-pressure side (supply side) of injectors No. 1 and No. 4, while the middle signal is low (ground) from injector No. 1, and the lower signal is on the low-pressure side of injector No. 4. The middle waveform is the same as the upper waveform because there is no circuit ground. When there is no current in the circuit, injector No. 1 is not powered and no fuel flows. The lower curve shows that ground is energized and there is a voltage drop across the terminals of injector No. 4. When current flows in the circuit, injector No. 4 is powered and fuel flows.
