Description and Operation
Description
The RCV (Recirculation Valve) control solenoid valve is installed on the intake system. It operates the RCV actuator, which controls the bypass passage of the turbocharger compressor.
When the throttle valve closes during engine operation [Tip-Out], a surge noise of the compressor impeller occurs due to the rapid increase of boost pressure. To prevent this phenomenon, the ECM opens the bypass passage to release the boost pressure appropriately.
