Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. Remove the liftgate garnish.

    (Refer to Body - "Rear Door Trim")

  3. Disconnect the power liftgate latch connector (A) and the power close unit connector (B).

  4. Loosen the power liftgate latch bolts (A).

  5. Loosen the mounting nuts of the close unit (A).

  6. Remove the power liftgate latch and the power closer unit (A).

Installation

  1. Install the power liftgate latch and the power close unit.

  2. Connect the power liftgate latch connector and the power close unit connector.

  3. Install the liftgate trim.

  4. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
