Checking the Washer Fluid Reservoir Level

GENERAL INFORMATION

The washer fluid reservoir is located at the front right of the engine compartment, next to the coolant reservoir. Note: Vehicles equipped with headlight washers have an additional reservoir located behind the windshield washer reservoir.

Fill the reservoir with a special antifreeze washer fluid. Do not add water. Never use engine antifreeze to wash the glass.

PROCEDURE

1. Some vehicles are equipped with a fluid level warning lamp on the instrument panel. If there is no lamp, press on the recess in the center of the reservoir cap and remove the dipstick. The level should be between the upper and lower marks.

2. If necessary, add fluid of the recommended type up to the edge of the reservoir filler neck.
