All Audi 80 models are equipped with 15-inch wheels, size 6 J x 15 (7 J x 15 optional). The standard tire version, width 195 with a 65 % aspect ratio, offers high ride comfort and secure road grip.


A sport chassis version is available to order for all Audi 80 models with gasoline engines. It features greater rigidity and its ground clearance is 15 mm lower.


The front anti-roll bar is markedly stiff. On Audi 80 models with the 6-cylinder V-engine, the sport chassis version with ground clearance reduced by 10 mm was standard equipment until July 1992; a more comfortable suspension was available as an option.
