Technical Description

Brake System

~1min read

The rear axle brake force regulator is standard equipment on all Audi 80 models. It prevents the vehicle from skidding during braking.

The anti-lock braking system was initially standard only on all-wheel-drive models and models with 6-cylinder engines; on all others it was optional. From January 1993, ABS is fitted to all Audi 80 models at no extra charge. The option to switch off ABS was discontinued in July 1992.
