Brake Fluid Replacement
Replacing brake fluid is necessary not only because of the already mentioned danger of air bubbles forming, but also because of the risk of corrosion in the brake cylinders and lines due to moisture absorption. When replacing brake fluid, proceed in the same way as when bleeding. You will need 2 L of new brake fluid.
PROCEDURE
If possible, empty the brake fluid reservoir using an old syringe and then immediately refill it.
Bleed brake fluid until fresh fluid appears at the bleeder valve.
To do this, pass 500 cm3 of brake fluid through each valve. This way, every drop is guaranteed to be replaced.
Replacement sequence: rear right, rear left, front right, front left.
Note: Used brake fluid must never be poured down the drain or added to used engine oil. The best option is to take it in a separate container to a special waste disposal facility. Ask your local authority for the nearest facility.
