Adjusting Rear Wheel Disc Brakes
PROCEDURE
Raise the vehicle at the rear on both sides and secure it. Remove the wheels.
Release the parking brake.
Make sure the parking brake cables are not under preload.
To check, push the parking brake lever on the brake caliper alternately to the right and left until it stops.
If the brake caliper lever on the other wheel also moves, the parking brake cables are adjusted too tight. In this case, loosen the central parking brake adjusting nut until both levers reach their stops exactly.
Lower the vehicle onto its wheels.
With the engine off, press the brake pedal with moderate force approximately 40 times.
Raise the vehicle again.
Check that the wheels turn freely.
