Additional Installation of a Radiotelephone on Specially Prepared Models

Specially equipped models may have a telephone (cordless phone) installed.

To use a telephone in the AUDI A3, dedicated control electronics are required, the so-called interface module. It provides communication between the cordless telephone and the vehicle components via the VDA connector.

The standard AUDI telephone is connected to the specified VDA plug connector via a special interface module.

Which interface modules can be used for telephones of other manufacturers must be determined from those manufacturers. Interface modules without a VDA plug connector require an appropriate adapter (e.g., Votex).
