Removal and installation of rear wiper arm and motor

Rear wiper arm 1 – wiper blade 2 – cap 3 – nut, 16 N·m 4 – spring washer 5 – wiper arm 6 – nozzle 7 – wiper motor drive shaft 8 – wiper blade rubber

Rear wiper motor 1 – motor 2 – sealing rubber 3 – opening in rear window 4 – nozzle 5 – rear wiper drive shaft 6 – connecting tube 7 – connector 8 – nuts, 3 pcs, 10 mm wrench 9 – washer hose 10 – motor cover

Rear wiper arm REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. Carefully pry off cap –2– with a small screwdriver.

2. Unscrew nut –3– and remove it together with spring washer –4–.

3. Remove arm –6– from the wiper motor shaft –7–.

INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. Switch off the wiper motor switch.

2. Position the arm so that blade rubber –8– is 5 mm from the ceramic strip.

3. Tighten the arm to 8 N·m and install the cap.

4. Switch on the rear window wiper and reposition it if necessary.

Rear wiper motor REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the arm.

2. Remove the tailgate interior trim panel. Refer to Removal and installation of tailgate trim panel.

3. Disconnect connector –7–.

4. Carefully remove washer hose –9– from connecting tube –6–.

5. Unscrew nuts –8– and remove wiper motor –1–. INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. Carefully insert sealing rubber –2– into the rear window opening –3–.

2. Carefully insert the motor into sealing rubber –2– and tighten to 8 N·m against the finger.

3. Install in the reverse order of removal.
