GENERAL INFORMATION

The instruments are located in the instrument panel. The instrument panel must be removed if necessary, e.g. to replace a bulb. If other instruments are faulty, the panel must be replaced as a whole, as it cannot be disassembled.

The instrument panel is available in two versions: "Lowline" and "Highline". The "Lowline" version is equipped with self-diagnosis, the "Highline" version is additionally equipped with a multi-function display.

The multi-function display shows the following: self-diagnosis, outside temperature, trip computer readings, selector lever position of the automatic transmission and navigation data.

The instrument panel is equipped with a microprocessor and has a self-diagnosis system. If faults occur in the control system components, the corresponding codes are stored in the fault memory of the control unit. These codes can be read out using the special AUDI tester. In addition, using the tester, the following functions can be adapted or corrected: fuel level indicator in the tank, consumption indicator, service interval indicator, odometer.
