Lighting Equipment
Lighting equipment includes: headlights, tail lights, brake lights, reverse lights, turn signal lights, fog lights, license plate lights and interior lights. Illumination of controls is described in the "Controls" Section.
Incandescent bulbs lose light output over time. Therefore, they must be replaced every 2 years, even if they are still working. This does not apply to halogen bulbs, used in headlights, for example. Their service life is significantly longer. Replace them only when they fail. A black deposit on the glass bulb indicates reduced light output of an incandescent bulb.
Before replacing a bulb, switch off the corresponding component.
* Do not touch the incandescent bulb with bare fingers. Fingerprints evaporate and deposit on the reflector, reducing its light output. When replacing, use only a bulb of the same type. Stains left by accidental contact are removed with a clean cloth dampened with alcohol.
