Removal and Installation of Turn Signal/Wiper Switch

* The turn signal and wiper switches are removed in the same way. The description is given using the turn signal switch as an example.

REMOVAL

1. Lower the steering column fully and extend it.
2. Remove the three mounting screws of the lower steering column cover.

3. Press the upper steering column cover inward on both sides at the location shown in the illustration, and pull the lower cover down.

4. Remove the screw (arrow in the illustration) and remove the upper steering column cover.

5. Squeeze the clips at the top and bottom and remove the switch.

6. Squeeze the clips and disconnect the electrical connector.

INSTALLATION

1. Connect the electrical connector and secure it.
2. Insert the switch into place and secure it.
3. Secure the lower steering column cover with the three screws.
4. If necessary, replace the upper steering column cover mounting nut.
5. Install the upper part and secure it. Insert the hook (1) into the receiving holes (2).

6. Press the upper part of the steering wheel side cover down and secure it at the side in the lower part.
7. Secure the upper part with the screws.
8. Return the steering column to its normal position.
