Child Safety Door Lock

Your vehicle has a child safety lock for each rear door. It prevents passengers, especially children, from accidentally opening the rear side doors by pulling the handle.

• Do not pull the inside door handle when the child safety door lock is set to the "LOCK" position.

This may damage the inside door handle.

To activate the child safety door lock, do the following:

1. Open the rear door to be locked.

2. The child safety lock lever is located in the middle of the door edge.

3. Move the lever to the "LOCK" position.

Each rear door has its own child safety lock.

The child safety lock on each rear door must be activated manually and separately.

To open a rear door with the child safety lock engaged, unlock the door from the inside and open it from the outside.

To disengage the lock, move the lever to the "UNLOCK" position.
