REAR DOOR (Hatchback/Wagon)

To unlock the rear door, insert the key into the lock and turn it counterclockwise.

To lock the rear door, turn the key clockwise.

The rear door can also be locked or unlocked using the central door locking system*. Refer to "CENTRAL DOOR LOCKING SYSTEM".

To open the rear door, pull up the handle above the license plate and lift the door.

To close, lower and slam the rear door shut.

When opening or closing the door, make sure nothing is obstructing the door's movement.

Driving with the rear door open may allow exhaust gases to enter the passenger compartment.

• Do not drive with the rear door open. If driving with the rear door open is unavoidable, close the windows, set the ventilation to "FRESH AIR MODE", and set the blower to maximum speed.

(Refer to "VENTILATION".) Exhaust gases are toxic and can cause poisoning or death.
