• Insufficient driver visibility may lead to a collision and result in injury, damage to your vehicle, or other property damage.
• Do not operate the rear door wiper if the glass is dry or if wiper operation is difficult, for example due to accumulated snow or ice.

Operating the wiper with obstructions on the glass may damage the wiper blades and wiper motor, as well as the glass surface.

• In cold weather, before operating the wiper, check that the blade is not frozen to the glass. Operating the wiper with a blade frozen to the glass may damage the blade, the wiper motor, and the glass surface. Repair of such damage is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

To operate the rear wiper/washer, move the lever toward the instrument panel.

In the first position, the wiper operates continuously at low speed. On some models, the wiper operates in intermittent mode.

To spray washer fluid onto the rear glass, move the lever to the second position.

• Do not spray washer fluid onto the rear glass in freezing weather.
• Warm up the rear glass before operating the washer.

Washer fluid may freeze on the rear glass and impair rearward visibility.

• Do not operate the rear washer continuously for more than 10 seconds, and do not operate it with an empty washer reservoir.

This may cause the washer motor to overheat and result in costly repairs.

Filling the washer reservoir For the recommended washer reservoir filling procedure, refer to "WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID" in the index.
