  1. Idle speed actuator

  2. Fuel pressure regulator

  3. Fuel injector

  4. Intake air temperature sensor

  5. Throttle valve potentiometer

  6. Connection for crankcase breather

  7. Vacuum line, evaporative emission (EVAP) system

  8. Connection for thermal valve on air filter housing

  9. Throttle valve adjusting screw (do not adjust!)

  10. Microswitch for closed throttle position, in idle speed actuator

Warning: when working on the injection unit, note: clean only with a brush and compressed air, never immerse in cleaning fluid. Do not remove the throttle valve and throttle valve shaft. The throttle valve stop screw must not be adjusted. If the injector or pressure regulator components must be replaced, the injection unit cover must also be replaced. Removal
1,4-L-motor

  • Remove air intake housing from injection unit with 3 bolts (upper arrows). Disconnect crankcase breather lines by releasing hose clamps (lower arrows). Note: if clamps without screw are fitted, cut them with side cutters and use screw-type hose clamps when installing.

  • Warning: fire hazard, no smoking. The fuel system is under pressure. Catch escaping fuel with a rag. Release hose clamps and disconnect fuel supply and fuel return lines at injection unit. Always replace hose clamps after loosening.

  • Disconnect 3 multi-plug connectors at injection unit.

1,4-L-motor

  • Unclip throttle linkage -1-.

  • Unbolt injection unit from intake manifold -arrows-.

Installation
  • Install injection unit to intake manifold with 7 N·m.

  • Clip in throttle linkage.

  • Connect multi-plug connector to injection unit.

  • Connect crankcase breather lines, fuel supply and fuel return lines and secure with hose clamps, see illustrations under "Removal".

  • Bolt air intake housing to injection unit with 3 bolts.
