Saving fuel while driving
The driver's driving style has the greatest influence on fuel consumption. Here are some tips for using the accelerator pedal intelligently.
After starting the engine, drive off immediately, even in frost.
Switch off the engine when stops of more than 40 seconds are expected.
Drive in the highest possible gear.
Drive at steady speeds over longer distances and avoid high speeds. Drive ahead-looking. Do not brake unnecessarily.
Do not carry unnecessary loads; remove attachments on the vehicle, such as roof racks, where possible.
Always drive with the correct tire pressure, never with pressure that is too low.
Choose the mode of transport carefully. Avoid local and time-based traffic peaks where possible.
