  • Set the steering wheel to the centre position.

  • Turn the steering wheel back and forth and watch the front wheels. The steering wheel may have a maximum play of approx. 30 mm without the wheels moving.

  • If the steering wheel play is greater, check the steering linkage, steering gear and the front axle bearing play.

  • Move the tie rods firmly back and forth by hand. The ball joints must have no play. Otherwise, replace the joints or tie rod.
