INSPECTION
PROCEDURE

1. This system supplies clean air to the injectors while the engine is running. The additional air leans the air-fuel mixture and allows more complete combustion during acceleration.
2. Start the engine, raise the speed to 3000 rpm, and wait for the cooling fan to come on. Return the engine to idle.

3. Disconnect the FIA valve air hose from the intake hose and connect a vacuum gauge to the hose.

4. Open the throttle manually, then close it fully. The vacuum reading should change with engine speed.
5. If the vacuum reading does not change, check the routing and condition of the vacuum hoses. If the hoses are good, replace the FIA valve.

PROCEDURE
