Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. Remove the front seat back cover.

    (Refer to Body - "Front Seatback Cover")

  3. Disconnect the lumbar support motor connectors (A).

  4. Release the retaining clips (A) from the seat frame.

  5. Remove the lumbar support assembly (B) after removing the mounting clip (A).

Installation

  1. Install the lumbar support assembly.

  2. Install the front seatback cover.

  3. Install the front seat assembly.

Inspection

Lumbar Support Motor

  1. Disconnect the motor connectors.

  2. When battery power is supplied to the lumbar support motor connector, check the motor for smooth operation.

  3. Reverse the connections and check that the motor rotates in the opposite direction.

  4. If the motor operates abnormally, replace it.
