Removal and installation

PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
2. On vehicles with a manual transmission, unscrew the shift lever knob.

3. On vehicles with an automatic transmission, disengage the shift lever bezel using a screwdriver, then remove it.

Rear Console
4. Remove the center trim panels (see subsection 11.21).
