Removal

PROCEDURE
1. Open the trunk lid and cover the trunk edges with cloths to protect the painted surfaces from damage during lid removal.
2. Remove the trunk lid trim cover.
3. Make alignment marks around the trunk lid mounting bolts.
4. With an assistant supporting the lid, unscrew the bolts securing the lid to the hinges and remove the trunk lid.

Installation and Adjustment

PROCEDURE
1. Installation is performed in the reverse order.

* When installing the trunk lid, align the lid hinge bolts with the marks made during removal.

2. After installation, close the trunk lid and make sure it is properly aligned with the surrounding panels.
3. Longitudinal and lateral adjustment is performed by loosening the trunk lid hinge bolts and slightly shifting the lid.
4. To adjust the lid so that it is flush with the body when closed, loosen the mounting bolts and move the lock and striker.
