Major Body Damage Repair

Major body damage should be repaired at service stations equipped with body repair equipment.

If extensive damage is present, the body geometry must be inspected. Such damage may also affect vehicle handling characteristics or cause other components to wear faster.

Since all major body components (hood, fenders, etc.) are separate parts that can be replaced, replacement is usually preferable to repair. Sometimes the required parts can be found at used parts dealers, which is much cheaper than buying new ones.
