Average

Average fuel consumption is calculated from the last reset.

CAUTION

Some deviation may occur when a fuel-operated heater* is in use.

Average speed

Average speed is calculated for the distance driven since the last reset.

Instantaneous consumption

The current fuel consumption value is updated continuously, about every second. When driving at low speed, consumption is displayed in relation to time. At higher speed, it is displayed in relation to distance driven.

Different units (km/miles) can be selected for the display. See section "Change unit".

Range - distance to empty

The trip computer displays the approximate distance that can be driven with the amount of fuel remaining in the tank.

If "----" appears in the distance to empty heading, there is no longer a guaranteed driving range.

  • In this case, refuel as soon as possible.

The calculation is based on the average consumption over the last 30 km and the amount of fuel remaining.

CAUTION

Changes in driving style may cause certain deviations.

Digital speed display25

Speed is shown in the opposite unit (kmh/mph) to the main instrument. For example, if the display is in mph, the trip computer shows the corresponding speed in km/h, and vice versa.

Change unit

In the MY CAR menu system, see MY CAR, you can change the unit (km/miles) for distance and speed.

CAUTION

These units are changed not only in the trip computer, but also in the Volvo navigation system*.
