The MY CAR menu in the Volvo S80 (2nd generation, 2013–2016) is the central system for controlling many vehicle functions. This section describes operation via the center console and steering wheel and navigation through the various menu items. Special notes cover the EXIT button, which lets the driver quickly return to higher menu levels or cancel actions. This keeps operation simple and safe, even while driving.

In the MY CAR menu you can manage numerous vehicle functions, such as City Safety, locks and alarm system, automatic fan speed, time, etc.

Operation

Navigate the menus using the buttons on the center console or with the right-hand control pad on the steering wheel*.

  1. MY CAR - Opens the MY CAR menu system.
  2. OK/MENU - Press the button on the center console or the thumbwheel on the steering wheel to confirm a selected menu option or save a setting.
  3. TUNE - Turn the dial on the center console or the thumbwheel on the steering wheel to scroll up or down through the menu.
  4. EXIT

EXIT functions

Depending on the function and the menu level where the selection is located, a short press of EXIT does one of the following:

  • Rejects the incoming phone call
  • Cancels the current function
  • Deletes the last character entered
  • Reverses the last selection made
  • Scrolls up in the menu system.

A long press of EXIT returns to the normal view for MY CAR or, if you are already in the normal view, to the top menu level (main source menu).
