The trip statistics in the Volvo S80 (2nd generation, 2013–2016) show a graphical display of fuel consumption and speed values for past trips. This section explains the function of the chart and how to switch the scale between 1 km and 10 km per bar. It also describes the options for resetting the statistics manually or automatically. This way, drivers always have an overview of their driving style and can optimize it in a targeted way.

Information on the average fuel consumption and average speed of completed trips is stored and can be shown as a bar chart on the center console display.

Each bar represents 1 km or 10 km of distance driven, depending on the selected scale. The bar on the far right shows the value for the current kilometer or 10 km.

Use the TUNE wheel to switch the scale for the bars between 1 km and 10 km. The cursor on the far right changes the mode between top and bottom, depending on the selected scale.

Operation

Various settings can be made in the MY CAR menu system, see MY CAR. Access the trip statistics there.

If the option "Reset if vehicle off min. 4 hrs" is selected, the entire statistics are automatically deleted after a completed trip and a standstill period of 4 hours. The trip statistics start from zero at the next engine start.

  • Reset if vehicle off min. 4 hrs - select the check box with ENTER and leave the menu with EXIT.

If a new driving cycle is to be started before the 4 hours have elapsed, the current period must first be deleted manually with the "Start new trip" option.

  • Start new trip - ENTER deletes all previous statistics. Leave the menu with EXIT.
